When renting a home or an apartment it is in the best interest of both the landlord and the tenant to have a strong renter’s agreement. This will state in writing the rent that the tenant has to pay every month. It will also lock this price in for a month, six months, a year, or whatever else the agreed upon lease is for. The agreement will also state what the landlord is responsible to repair and what the renters are responsible for and any charges they may receive for damages to the property.
A Rental Agreement template 2015 can be downloaded from here and printed out. To make it legal a landlord can take this agreement to a notary and have it notarized. The template can be customized and used again every time a new person moves into the home or apartment.
There are several key features that are included on a Renter’s Agreement. The agreement is going to have the date that both parties signed it on as well as their names. It will also include the duration of the lease and when the landlord has to be paid their rent. The landlord can circle what if anything they are going to include in the rent such as snow or trash removal. If nothing is circle the tenant is responsible for getting that services and paying for it. if the tenant is going to have a pet there is a space to write in the additional deposit amount it is going to cost. In the agreement the landlord can add certain rules such as forbidding drug use or any other activities that are not going to be tolerated on their property. Both parties then sign the lease that states that they agree to the terms that are set forth within the agreement.
